NICOLE RICHIE GETS INTO WEDDING DRESS SHAPE

Nicole Richie and her fiance Joel Madden were spotted going for a jog with some friends in Studio City, CA on Sunday (March 28).
Making the most of a sunny afternoon, the 28-year-old reality TV starlet and her Good Charlotte rocker beau enjoyed an afternoon off parent patrol as they spent the day working on their fitness.
Meanwhile, Nicole says she really hasn’t had a chance to think about her wedding to Joel now that she’s “finally” engaged.
“I’ve been on the road. I just got home and so it’s really going to be, like, now that’s the time for me to sit down and think about what I want,” she told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show recently.
About specific plans, she said, “Not yet, but soon [we'll have a wedding date]. Yeah, it’s a big deal.”
Miss Richie also talked about her big baby boy, Sparrow. “He is six months. He’s huge. He was almost eight pounds when he was born.” Daughter Harlow is “22 pounds and she’s 2. And he’s 18 pounds and he’s 6 months — needless to say, I’m exhausted.”
JESSICA ALBA GOES GLOBAL GREEN

Jessica Alba attended Global Green USA’s 7th Annual Pre-Oscar Party at Avalon in Hollywood last night (March 3).
Joined by rocker bros Benji and Joel Madden as well as husband Cash Warren, the Valentine’s Day actress was on hand to help raise funds for Global Green’s many projects intended to create green communities.
Since 1994, Global Green has collaborated with the Hollywood community to raise global awareness of climate-change solutions. The organization is behind projects encouraging celebrities to drive green cars, build green homes and products, and vote for green political leaders.
Fellow planet-loving partygoers included the likes of Serena Williams and upcoming Dancing with the Stars castmember Nicole Scherzinger.
NICOLE RICHIE: SCENE QUEEN

After spending the morning promoting her fashion label Winter Kate, the 28-year-old starlet hit up Fashion week in the afteroon before joined fiancé Joel Madden to watching the New York Knicks take on the Chicago Bulls at Madison Square Garden.
Once the Bulls school the Knicks in a 115-109 victory, the happily engaged couple enjoyed a late night bite at a nearby eatery before returning to their NYC apartment.
Meanwhile, we’ve got some details on Nicole’s gorgeous new engagement ring.
A rep for Neil Lane says the round stone ring is made up of 4 carats, and the band is platinum and diamond. That “octagon” shape around the main stone is also comprised of diamonds. And, yes, Nicole was had a hands-on involvement with its design.
And while the pair has apparently been engaged for a while, they have their friends to thank for not dishing to the tabloids. “P.S. That’s why I love my family and friends,” Joel tweeted (in a deleted post). “None of them are sources. All good tight-lipped people who let us enjoy it! Thanks, everybody.”

Featuring a custom-designed drawing representing their cause, Nicole and Joel will support The Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation’s various projects. After formally announcing their partnership, the pair cut the ribbon for the facility’s new playground for young children.

Adds Joel: “It’s such an awesome thing for 7-Eleven to do, whether they were giving any money to our foundation or not. In each month they’re doing a different charity, and it doesn’t get any better than that, man.”

GRAMMY PARTY AWKWARDNESS

Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and Lindsay Lohan were among the stars who weren’t able to finagle themselves tickets to Sunday night’s (January 31) Grammy Awards.
Instead the unlikely trio watched the star-studded show at home before attending the 2010 EMI Post Grammy Party at the W Hotel in Hollywood.
Tension in the room could be cut with a knife as former pals Nicole and Lindsay have been involved in a long-running feud involving the attention and affection of DJ Samantha Ronson.
