In her tell-all interview with People Magazine, Sandra Bullock confesses she still intends to play a role in the lives of Jesse’s three kids. she is hoping an arrangement can be made where she can “co-parent” them. she explains:

“I don’t want to know what life is like without those kids. whatever we need to do, in the healthiest way, we are going to be co-parenting.”

We hate the thought of Jesse staying in your life in any capacity, but for the sake of those little ones (who are in DESPERATE need of a role model), we think it’s okay.

Sandra Bullock: I never aspired to win an Oscar

Sandra’s big surprise

Were you surprised that Sandra Bullock won the Oscar for Best Actress?

Sandra Bullock never had her heart set on an Oscar – and that may be partly how she ended up with one.

“I didn’t aspire to this,” she told People.com after her big win. “I was in awe of it. I admired it. I got to watch it like everyone else did, or present, but it wasn’t something that I said, ‘One day when I get the Oscar.’ “

After winning best actress for “The Blind Side” on Sunday night, Bullock is staying grounded, thanks in part to the Razzie Award for worst actress, for her performance in “All About Steve,” that she won just one night earlier.

“You take the good with the not so good,” she told reporters after the Oscars, “but I had the best time at the Razzies last night. it probably means more that [the Oscar and the Razzie] both happened at the same time, because it’s the great equalizer. Nothing ever lets me get too full of myself.”

She joked about where the two statuettes would go on her mantle. “They’ll sit side by side in a nice little shelf somewhere, the Razzie maybe on a different shelf, lower,” she said laughing.

She also poked fun at her hubby Jesse James, who grew misty-eyed during his wife’s acceptance speech. “Did he cry? He doesn’t cry,” she said. “He had something in his eye. It’s very dusty from the dance music.”

The funny leading lady turned serious, though, discussing her accomplishments and where she plans to go from here. “I don’t like when people tell me I can’t do something. Just because I did commercial films doesn’t mean I can’t do wonderful, small art-house films,” she said. “Just because I won an Oscar, I don’t want to ever stop doing something that makes people laugh. I love making people laugh.”

Now that she has, though, he 45-year old actress is using her moment in the spotlight to encourage other struggling actors out there. “Don’t aspire to be in these shoes. Walk in your own,” she said. “Everyone’s unique, and that’s what makes people exciting to watch, I think. so, just savor what you are and not what everyone else wants you to be.”

As for her immediate post-Oscar plans? Bullock is returning to life as usual. “I will go to the grocery store,” she said, “and I will pick up a very sweet 6-year-old from school.”

SANDY DON’T PLAY

fp_4667962_bullock_sandra_fp5_031110

Sandra Bullock was very disappointed and upset with the paparazzi today (March 11).

The Oscar-winning actress was on her way to a residential home in the Los Angeles area when the shutterbugs decided she was worth running a red light for. But Sandra was so angry at their wreckless decision she couldn’t help but yell at them as she made her way into the home, possibly for a work out.

Meanwhile, Sandra is reportedly keeping her schedule clear so she can work on making a baby with husband Jesse James.

“Even now, Sandra will just smile and say, ‘I may surprise you!’ And she knows it’s now or never,” a source is quoted as saying. “That’s why she’s turned down 20 movie deals in three months. She wants to keep her slate clean to work on conceiving that baby. It won’t be the end of her life if she and Jesse aren’t successful, but she really wants to try.”

TVNZ’s style team gives its verdict on the fashion at the Oscars

Source: ReutersSandra Bullock accepts her award for best actress for the Blind Side

Every year we look forward to what the stars will wear as theysashay down the Oscars red carpet.

We highly anticipate what is to come (okay, we actually becomequite beside ourselves with excitement!) and at the same time, alsowonder how many train-wrecks will appear in amongst the visions ofbreathtaking beauty.

And this year, the 82nd Oscars didn’t fail to disappoint. What’smore, they were virtually free of any seriously horrific fashiondisasters (for a change!)

Obviously, the celebs’ stylists’ mantra was “playing it safe”.apart from a handful of stars, no one wanted to take a gamble andrisk a look that was too “out there”.

This is a very wise move indeed as you really don’t want to getsomething wrong at the Oscars and have a fashion faux-pas that willbe immortalised forever!

For us, the Oscars are our Holy Bible of red carpet looks and afountain of endless inspiration to really get the creative juicesflowing.

This is when we really start to get ideas about what we mightdress our own beloved TVNZ stars in for the Qantas Film &Television awards held later on this year. Yippee, we can’twait!

At this year’s Oscars, the general theme was pretty much thequintessential gorgeous, old-school Hollywood star of yester-year -timeless, elegant, chic and structured within an inch of its life!it is a winning formula that never fails.

There were loads of boned strapless dresses with fish tails, trains and lots of elaborate details.

Colour-wise, the palette was fairly muted with lots of butteryyellows, metallic golds, silvers, silvery pinks, lilacs, champagnesand nude-y blush tones and peaches.

In amongst this were strong white and/or black and reds andburgundies.

The jewels were fabulous and so, too, were the shoes andbags.

As celebrity stylist Rachael Zoe would say: “I die!”

Here’s Style Blogs’s rundown of Oscars 2010

Sandra Bullock
What a refreshing look for Sandra. she looks so poised andsophisticated in a slinky lace topped metallic dress by Marchesa. We loved the punchy lip she had on and her sleek, flowing hair.

Carey Mulligan
Carey looked beautiful in a black strapless Prada dress that wasencrusted with Swarovski crystals.

Penelope Cruz
Pene looked absolutely stunning in a dark red fish-tailed straplessnumber from Donna Karen Couture.

Meryl Streep
For an older gal, Meryl got it right on the money and lookedperfect in a beautiful draped white jersey dress designed byProject Runway contestant, Chris March.

Twilight’s Kristen Stewart
Kristen looked stunning in a beautifully sexy midnight blue numbermade by Monique L’Huiller. this is Goth done right!

Kate Winslet
Kate the great, is always immaculate and knows exactly what worksfor her. Kate looked the height of glamour and good taste in thestatuesque silver strapless gown by Yves Saint Laurent and Art Decoinspired jewels care of Tiffany and co.

Demi Moore
Is this woman really 47 years old? It’s so insane as Demi has neverlooked better! maybe the key is having an incredibly hot youngerman in her life! Demi looked breathtaking in a beautifullyfeminine, sexy strapless Atelier Versace dress set back with VanCleef & Arpels jewels. Mama Mia!

Maggie Gyllenhaal
Always left of centre, Maggie chose a strapless printed blue DriesVan Noten frock that suited her to a “T”.

Rachel McAdams
Rachel looked positively gorge in an ethereal dress by Elie SaabCouture but it may have been a bit wishy-washy on her at the sametime.

Cameron Diaz
Cameron looked the best she has looked in ages on the red carpet -stunning in an embellished ivory/gold gown care of Oscar de laRenta and dripping with Cartier jewels.

Diane Kruger
“C’est Magnique, Vive la France!” Diane looked the epitome of chicin a black and white ruffled dress from Chanel Haute Couture.

Sarah Jessica Parker
Many hated this look dubbed the “Chanel Mumu” and sure, if youhappened to be “knocked up” it would be a tres handy dress to wear. However, Style Blog actually liked the peachy/buttery toned”shapeless sack of satin” that featured a beautifully embellishedneckline. J’adore!

J.Lo
While J.Lo looked very beautiful and we totally understood thesculptural qualities of the silvery pink Armani Prive dress shewore, unfortunately it highlighted her figure in the wrong place! But we loved the Cartier jewels, yes please!

Mariah Carey
Oops! Mariah wore a perfectly fine Valentino Haute Couture dress ina gorgeous blue colour and yet, as always, Mariah made the dresslook ultra cheap and nasty thanks to having her mammaries out infull glory as per usual and did we mention that massive, customisedslit that went up to her hipbone? yes, Mariah, you define classywith a capital “K”!

Charlize Theron
Charlize is such a divine creature and was one of the few on Oscarsnight who decided to take a chance and wear something a bitdifferent. Unfortunately, it all back fired badly on her! the palepink Dior dress was stunning in itself, it was just the largerosettes on her breasts that proved to be highly distracting andpoor Chalize ended up being the prime source of ridicule for thenight. does Gaultier’s cone-breasted corset tops made for Madonnain the ’90s come to mind?

Avatar’s Zoe Salander
Gorgeous Zoe wore a frothy-hemmed Givenchy gown that was too muchand had far too many layers on the bottom. the top part was fine, the bottom was like five dresses stuck on to one. Here was anotherexample of a look that may have looked great on the catwalks of ahigh fashion show in Paris, but in Hollywood, did not register onebit. it was waaay too fashion-forward and totally didn’t translateon the red carpet. nobody “got it”, that was the problem.

Gabourey Sidibe
What a sassy woman! Gab is so confident in her body and the navy,grecian-style Marchesa dress really suited her. We loved hercomment that if fashion was porn, then her dress was the moneyshot! love the attitude!

Finally the lads!
There was a lot menswear designed by Tom Ford on the night. RyanReynolds, Colin Firth, and the two Oscar hosts of the night, SteveMartin and Alec Baldwin all donned mr Ford’s creations.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Seacrest opted for Burberry.

The black tux, white shirt and black bow-tie combo proved to bethe men’s look “du soir”, while others wore the classic black tielook, as favoured by cutie Zac Efron in Calvin Klein.

Style Blog’s pick of hottest man at the Oscars was not actuallyGeorge Clooney but Avatar’s Sam Worthington. All we can say isWOW!

Overall, we loved most of what we saw at the Oscars and are nowthoroughly in denial that it is over, boo hoo! Roll on nextyear!

Sandra came on stage, pulling a wagon filled with DVDs, noting, “We brought everybody in the audience a DVD of All About Steve.” She asked the audience members to watch it, rethink their decision and if they agree that she really wasn’t that bad, “I will come back next year. I will give back the Razzie.” (She actually won 2 — one for worst actress and one for worst screen couple with Bradley Cooper.)

If Sandra wins an Oscar tonight, she’ll be the first actress to win a Razzie and an Oscar over the same weekend.
