Busy mom Jennifer Garner was spotted picking up an overjoyed Violet from preschool in Santa Monica today (April 2).

Afterwards, the 37-year-old actress tended to some business as she took a brief walk to answer a call from her manager.

With the summer being around the corner, Jennifer has no plans to work while her little girl is out of school. Come fall, the Valentine’s Day star has seven different projects in development, including Devil in the Junior League and The Bachelorette Party.

Ben Affleck and daughter Violet enjoyed an afternoon of quality time while out and about in Brentwood, CA on Sunday (March 28).

After enjoying a late brunch at a neighbourhood eatery, the father-daughter duo capped off their perfect day out with a trip to a nearby toy store.

Meanwhile, Ben’s BFF Matt Damon was the center of the actor/director’s jokes as he and wife Jennifer Garner stepped out to honour the Bourne Indentity star for his career achievements. Matt was named the 2010 recipient of the American Cinematheque Award on Saturday night in Beverly Hills.

Jen first kicked off the laugh fest by joking about the pair’s close bond, saying, “Ben is half of one of the greatest love stories ever told - not with me. The actual prototype for the great Hollywood Bromance… Here’s proof that love is alive and well in Hollywood. At least for my darling husband and my darling husband’s darling husband.”

Ben, who grew up with Damon in Massachusetts, added, “Matt always said to me, ‘Ben, there are two things that are more important to me than anything else in this world… fame, money.’ You did it Matty! You got there!”

While they say it takes a village, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner seemed to have things under control today (March 24) as they split pick up and drop off duties.

While Ben was responsible for dropping off Violet this morning at preschool, doting mom Jennifer came equipped with little Seraphina as she picked up the adorable 4-year-old after a day of reading and writing.

Meanwhile, Ben will soon be taking a brief hiatus from his daddy duties when presents the 24th American Cinematheque Award to BFF Matt Damon at the Cinematheque’s tribute to Damon on Saturday.

Casey Affleck, Don Cheadle, George Clooney, Clint Eastwood, Jimmy Kimmel, Greg Kinnear, Ben Stiller, Charlize Theron and Robin Williams will participate in the tribute, which will air for the first time on ABC at a later date. President Bill Clinton will honor Matt’s humanitarian efforts via videotape.

Offering wife Jennifer Garner a break from her parental duties, it was family patriarch Ben Affleck who dropped off their daughter Violet at school in Santa Monica, CA today (March 23).

After leaving his precious bundle of cargo inside, the slimmed down 36-year-old actor offered photogs a slight sneer before hopping back in his ride and heading home.

Meanwhile, following in the footsteps of his humanitarian BFF, Water.org co-founder Matt Damon, Ben announced yesterday that he has created the Eastern Congo Initiative, which will raise money for economic and social development in the eastern region of the country.

The group aims to raise money to fund effective-yet-struggling community groups in the Congo that are already hard at work on improving the area.

The ECI will also work to raise awareness about the Congo to policymakers and members of the media.

This is not Ben’s first time showing dedication to the Congolese people. In addition to filming Gimme Shelter, a short documentary about the Congo, a couple of years ago, he also penned a piece for Time magazine in which he said, “The nation most in need of investment gets the least by the cruel logic that it is the most broken. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy that ultimately fosters indifference in the guise of wisdom.’’

It seems there’s nothing Jennifer Garner can do without getting photographed. Not even the most mundane of activities.

Today (March 20) was no different as the 37-year-old actress was besieged by photogs during a grocery run at Gelson’s Market Santa Monica, CA with daughter Violet.

Like the pro that she is, Jennifer ignored the unwarranted privacy invasion and simply tended to her domestic duties — but the same cannot be said about little Violet. The precocious four-year-old lapped up the attention and even bid the paparazzi a farewell upon depature.

Meanwhile, Jennifer will head to Louisiana next month to begin filming Butter.

According to Variety, “Butter is set in the Midwest and centers on an adopted girl who discovers her talent for butter carving and finds herself pitted against an ambitious local woman — portrayed by Garner — in their town’s annual contest.”

Refining cuteness by the day, Violet Affleck was all smiles as she was dropped off at preschool in Santa Monica, CA today (March 19) by mom Jennifer Garner.

Opting to save her energy for the classroom, the precocious 4-year-old got a lift to the door courtesy of her movie star mom.

According to Variety, Butter focuses on an adopted girl in the Midwest who finds she is gifted in the carving of the dairy product. She enters her town’s annual competition, but is challenged by an ambitious local woman played by Jennifer. Will she melt under the pressure?

The film marks the first project for the 37-year-old actress’ production company, Vandalia Films. She tells Variety, “I can’t wait to start churning.”

Butter will get things rolling in Louisiana next month.
